The Amazing Omurice @ Kichi Kichi
I am not a foodie who will travel miles for food, but if I do, that dish/restaurant must be something special. Never have I thought of travelling across the borders (except for Johor Bahru) for food but crazily enough, I did. We did. And it was to Japan. This restaurant was parked in our untitled checklist for quite sometime and it only got defined when we booked our tickets to Japan. We decided that we must visit the restaurant and see it for ourselves the oh-so-fluffy omelette that the online community has been raving about. I’m a big fan of Japanese cuisine and I was really, really excited about it.
Okay, you have got to see it to believe it. I still remember how surreal we felt when we reached the entrance of the restaurant :3
I love how the master chef put on a show for us with his culinary skills. Both his assistant and himself are very friendly people who tried their best to communicate with us in English. But I think the highlight is still on the omelette….ommuuugod, so good.
*They will show you the menu and the ingredients stated in the dish. Special requests can be made if you can’t take certain ingredients. Koon made a no-beef request due to religious reasons.
You can make your reservations in advance through their website. We made ours 3 months prior to our trip
