Hello there.

Welcome to my blog. I pen my adventures in travel, food and beauty. Have a nice stay!

Hello again Bangkok! Had a work trip to Bangkok in Feb and it was a no-brainer decision to extend over the weekend to explore this amazing city! It's my 3rd time to Bangkok and there still seems like a thousand and one things waiting for our exploration.

We visited Toby's due to it's close proximity from where we were staying - Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit which is right beside BTS Thong Lor.

We reached Toby's by foot as it was only a 15 minutes walk from BTS Thong Lor. And I find it amazing that the cafe is situated in a very quaint environment despite being very near to a BTS station. Indoor and outdoor seats are available at Toby's. We were there on a Sunday morning and as you can see, the cafe's pretty crowded on the outside already.

My mood immediately livened the moment I stepped into the cafe. Think warm wood tones, greens and rustic furnishings with beams of natural light - Perfect for a hearty brunch and instagram-worthy photos :) The beautiful and relaxed ambience certainly attracts a lot of people and while we were there, we've seen a good mix of locals and tourists.

Toby's offers a very simple menu - nothing fanciful which can be a good thing because trends tend to die down after a while. And it saves us - the patrons - from making too difficult decisions. Haha.

Always on the safe side, I got a Junior Brekkie main! When it was served, my immediate thought was: where's my avocadoes and tomato salsa?!

There ~ under my sunny side up ;) I never though Avocados could go so well with sourdough so I was quite satisfied with this combination.

Breakfast Board (THB 350)

Koon got a Breakfast Board which seems to be the most filling mains in the menu. That pop of colors on the plate certainly brings out our appetite. IMO, the serving portion is pretty small. Enough to curb your hunger pangs but not enough to keep your tummies filled to the brim.

After brunch we just chilled for a while and took time to enjoy the buzz in the cafe (was really crowded during lunch) and our precious coffee time.

I wouldn't say the food at Toby's fantastic but would rate the overall experience as decent. Brownie points for the beautiful decor which I think most cafe junkies would love. If you're in the area and looking for a good cafe to start the day with, go to Toby's :)
