Aey Seafood, Bangkok
They say, trust the locals and you can never go wrong. Aey Seafood was recommended to us by our Thai friend during our Bangkok trip last month and the reason why I am writing this is that this restaurant definitely deserves more awareness. Their food is so good!
Heres's something funny though. Koon and I stepped into the restaurant full of confidence only to find out they don't have an English menu and the staff only speaks Thai. You can most probably imagine what these two foreigners looked like in the restaurant trying to figure out what's on the menu. Luckily, they were some pictured items on it which allowed us to randomly picked the dishes intuitively...hahaha.
I wish I have the talent of a food writer to describe how heavenly each of the following dishes tastes but I don't so I will leave the pictures to speak for itself. My favorites are the Black Pepper Vermicelli w Tiger Prawns and Tom Yum Soup!
The total bill came up to 1540 Baht (SGD 63) which I thought was worth it because the food was SO GOOD.
By the way, this green chilli served to go with the seafood is seriously the BOMB and not for the faint hearted!!
And here's the menu:
